Make A Difference! – Pt. 1

Welcome to the first post in our “Make A Difference” series!  Every once in a while, when we stumble on a new way to help those in need, we’ll post it here, so those of you who want to make a difference, can!

As rescues, both Baseball and Zooey recognize the importance of helping others in need.   Both kittens were abandoned and left to fend for themselves before they were even old enough to be away from their mothers!  If it weren’t for myself and a few friends, who knows where they would have ended up?

In an effort to make sure that no other animals have to face such a fate, today they wanted to share with you two of their favorite ways to make a positive impact on the lives of animals everywhere.

And the good news is, it’s easy to do, with just a few clicks a day!

First, the folks at www.freekibblekat.com and their sponsors release two new trivia questions a day (one for cats and one for dogs) – each time you answer a question, 10 pieces of kibble are donated to animals in need.  While that may not sound like a lot, the site is one of the top-5 most visited animal rescue websites, and has helped contribute over 7 million meals to animals in need across the country since it began in 2008.

Another great site, www.theanimalrescuesite.com, makes it easy to help several different charities with a click a day – or by shopping!  Every time you press their “click to give” button, sponsors donate to provide food and care for animals in need.  Not only that, but every purchase from their store funds at least 14 bowls of food for shelter animals across the country.

So pass these links on, and remember to click every day!  Making a change doesn’t always have to cost a lot of money, or even take a significant amount of time – but just like each rain drop adds up to overflow a river, imagine the lives we can impact if everyone takes a few seconds each day to do their part!

Baseball, Zooey, and all of their friends say “THANK YOU!”
